Five writers. Five unique suites. One night where words can rest and unfold.

Hotel St. George invites writers to a literary residency designed to nourish creativity and offer space for inspiration. We are looking for five writers – regardless of background or experience – to spend one night in one of our unique suites.

During the residency, writers are welcome to work on an existing project or simply enjoy the calm, light, and atmosphere that may spark something new. In exchange, each writer will contribute a short text to the hotel – a poem, essay, short story excerpt, or any literary form. The texts will be published on our website and may also be featured in guest materials such as welcome letters or the St. George Journal.

The open call begins on World Book Day, April 23, and ends on May 1, the finale of St. George’s Week. Selected participants will be contacted during the summer, and the residencies will take place in the autumn and winter of 2025.

Kindly note that each selected writer is kindly expected to arrange their own travel to the hotel at a later agreed-upon date.
